What we do………

We provide housing and all necessities of pet(s) of Military families and Veterans,  when they are                      away from home. They later reunite and everyone is happy they were only apart temporarily.

When a Service Member or Veteran must be away from home due to training, deployment, hospitalization or any other reason, we provide temporary housing and all necessities needed. Thus far, we have been able to provide this service FREE of charge to the Military and Veterans. Before 2015, there were too many military related owner surrenders occurring. It was heartbreaking watching  owners and pets have to say goodbye. Permanently without one good reason at all. With our assistance, this does not have to happen. We will care for the pets as they are ours. That truly is already the case. Once a pet has come here, instantly they are part of an extended  family of all types. Not only is housing provided, all vetting (including spay/neuter), food/treats, outings  (we call field trips), and lots of other activities and learning. Our next Phase is in the works!! It is a very big project so it is taking time, but all good things come to those who wait!

This is Phase II of OTW. We are building cabins that will provide year round housing for our guests. They come with most amenities you can image. Each cabin has air conditioning and full heating, a personal dog run coming off the cabin. Access with a weather proofed doggie door. There are three rooms in each cabin. One is play/entertainment room. Here you will find TV with camera system for security and protection purposes, tub of toys, storage space, table and couch or chairs for visitors of volunteers and staff. Next room is the pup nook, the place where all the food goes down! This room has their food/water bowl, the food that particular pet eats, closet space for the much needed cleaning supplies, towels and all things needed for the pet. The last room is the bedroom. This room has an orthopedic large dog bed, (luxury cabins have orthopedic XXXL bed), their stuffed pals collection and extra blankets. Also storage space like the other rooms. The cabin also has a cute front porch with cover and pets receive a hand made wood plaque displaying their name. This helps volunteers to know they are with the right pet.
In addition, to these things, there is a Rec Area, a large area designated for all the pets that can play nicely together can play with all the toys, get basic training, swim/pool time and of course take advantage of the learning toys available!  Each cabin also can have doors or gate to separate if needed or overflow. We have one cot that is available in the event there is something wrong with one of the pets. If so, 24 hour care starts.
the cabins are free to the Military and Veterans. The same programs and items are also offered to the public. Non military affiliated  public would need to purchase the package they would like. We do offer the. OST discounted price possible. This way it is not all out of your pocket.
Once the cabins are complete, Phase III will begin.
